down to cesar chavez. in the interim, we have upgraded our mission street buses on -- working with ppw construction team, the work is coming to a close. mission paving will be finished this week. final touchup and restriping will be done next weekend muni will move its buses back to mission st., on saturday, september 29. other work that will go back. temporary configurations will revert back to pre-existing conditions by the end of october and in addition to getting the street date all the way from cesar chavez and 16th, which will give muni riders a smoother ride we added bus bowls at 24th to help the boarding process in an area that could be congested. a good project for the city, the impact for us and big benefit for us and looking forward to getting back to mission street at the end of the month. we do have upcoming in a couple of weeks our next and last really big special event we can of the year. weekend of october 6-7, an incredible list of events all coincide on that week. the next round of the am

in september 2012, bca made an unsolicited offer to the port to lease 601 cesar chavez for the relocation of their administrative offices and other activities related to bca's mission. and possibly develop a restaurant and cafe. on april 12 -- i'm sorry, on april 10, 2012, this commission authorized staff to put out an rfp or request for public offering for a restaurant renovation and operator. the port, we did extensive advertising, extensive outreach, and we received no offers. the building has been vacant for seven years. i have shown the building myself during that time. and we have received no offers. under the report's resale policy, it does require a competitive bid. if it's retail, which their proposed restaurant would follow in line with that. however, there is an exception that the policy provides for, for direct negotiations if port staff determines that a public offering would be impractical and impossible. we feel that the seven years that the property sat vacant and the fact that we did a public offering with extensive outreach, our conclusion is it is impractical and we wou

it happened on 101 near the cesar chavez exit. police found the suspect's vehicle at 23rd and bryant. there are two suspects out there on the loose. >>> other top story this morning, a shooting near a popular strip mall in san jose is being investigated now. it happened just hours ago in the plant shopping center on monterrey road. that's where we find janine de la vega showing us several stores are damaged by bullet holes. report that's right, the shooting happened right between the babies r us. it is behind me and there's a office max next door. a police officer actually just met with one of the managers inside babies r us to show him the damage where the bullet hit a building. another bullet also hit the side of the office max. you can see where there's also shattered glass there as well. at this point, we are not sure how many shots were fired. police were told by witnesses at 2:45 this morning, two men and one woman was walking where a car pulled up to them. officers spotted it a mile away at center rode and wool creek road.
